Western Arabs is an intimate portrait, a documentary-hybrid, which follows the Danish/Arab family through both good and hard times over a period of 12 years. The father is Palestinian, the mother Danish, and the three sons become a result of the cultural encounter which occurred when the first immigrants arrived in Denmark in the 60s and 70s.
